The Hood River County Education Foundation has awarded 17
teacher grants through its annual grant program.
There were 31 grant requests received and they were all
excellent. Every grant deserved funding, but there was only
enough money for 17, said Foundation President Mike Schend.

concert and the Bright Futures Campaign that many community
folks donated to in 2006, Schend said.
