Faces reflect the fun on stage at Jackson Park following the Homecoming parade Friday afternoon. Prize drawings, contests such as Chubby Bunny and Cookie Kiss and other activities kept Hood River Valley High School students entertained after the parade. Overall winner of the Homecoming week participation points tally was also announced: the senior class.

Asian-themed decorations for the Homecoming dance were designed and painted by students in the art department for the first time this year. Theater instructor Rachel Krummel, right, and drama student Terra Dawson-Neal get ready to assemble large panels with painted dragons, foo-dogs and Phoenix birds that will provide a grand entrance to the dance. Behind them Krummel’s son, Duncan, moves large decorations.

Above, seniors end a scene with flair at Air Guitar. The senior class won the event.

Dress-up day Wednesday was camo, sports uniform or Hawaiian, and at least two of these are evident above: from left are Alex Ing, Eli Pynch, Isaac Bubb, Sam Wadman, Shay Huskey, Ryan Kimball and Adam Williams.

At left, Henry Hunt and Tayler Miller show no fear in “Fear Factor” at Bon Gone.
