A commemorative cookbook
is now on sale in Hood River County.
“A Collection of Recipes
With Family & Friends” features delicious recipes from local
residents and area restaurants including Abruzzo, China Gorge,
Dixie’s, Panzanella, The Mesquitery and Stonehedge Gardens.
Local artist Mark
Nilsson donated the cover artwork for the cookbook, which is
being presented by Don Nunamaker, Realtors, in memory of Jo Ella
Sellers, a beloved Nunamaker broker who died on March 15, 2005.
All proceeds will go to
various projects and fund-raisers to support children and
families in our community, according to broker Tara Snyder.
The Collection is now
available for purchase ($20) at Nunamaker Realtors, 2495 Cascade
Ave., as well as various local businesses.
Snyder said, “It will be a great
addition to your cookbook collection or make a terrific gift for
a family or friend. Thank you to everyone who contributed their
recipe and time for this fantastic cause.” Snyder pointed to the
cookbook dedication, where it is written of Sellers, “If her
love, compassion and warmth were a meal, no one who met her
would ever hunger. Thank you, Jo, for bringing fond memories to
our lives.”
