A “Tree of Remembrance” event will be Dec. 12 at Anderson’s Tribute Center, at 7 p.m.

“This event is an opportunity for family to remember loved ones who have passed away,” said Jack Trumbull, owner of Anderson’s Tribute Center, which is coordinating the event.

Anyone in the community is invited to attend and participate in a “Celebration of Life” to remember and honor those who have passed away. In memory of loved ones, ornaments will be provided and can be placed upon the “Tree of Remembrance.”

Music for the event will be by soloist Jo Herring, accompanied by Marcia Page, and the Hood River Valley Christian Church choir. Speakers will include Pastor David Presley (Hood River Valley Christian Church), Chaplain Steve Lusk (Hospice of the Gorge), Clyde Sanda and Deacon Lou DeSitter, (Heart of Hospice) and Pastor Vicky Stifter (Riverside Community Church).

Participants may bring a small photograph, special memento, poem or letter to be placed inside the ornament. Ornaments will remain on the “Tree of Remembrance” throughout the holiday season. Anderson’s is located at 1401 Belmont Ave.
