Bonding from tragedy
Hello. Faith is what builds relationships. Relationship with Jesus in time of need is stronger than ever and the bond of the families that have come together on the mountain.
I thank you for your inspiration and all that you have built in the last couple of weeks with all the families there.
Thank you.

Families praying
To the families of Kelly James, Brian Hall and “Nikko” Cooke. There has been a large number of families that I have organized to pray on a daily basis for the safe return of your loved ones.
We are extremely saddened by the news of the deceased climber. We are ready to help in any way to get you through this. We open our homes to you if needed.
Please call (503) 520-0964.We pray.

Of 35 and 37
Reading the Hood River News’ Dec. 9, 2006, edition about a Measure 37 claim filed by Mt. Hood Meadows was surreal.
Let me see if I have this right: The State of Oregon spent upward of $10 million of our tax dollars to repair the highway to Mt. Hood Meadows in a hurry so that Meadows Ski Resort can open and start making money. Then a few hours before the highway opened, Mt. Hood Meadows filed a Measure 37 claim, seeking to build 900 houses on the north side of Mount Hood or be paid by taxpayers not to ruin Mount Hood.
The situation would be ironic if it wasn’t so grotesque. Everyone should boycott Mt. Hood Meadows until it pays the state back for the rush fees on the highway repair, or drops its Measure 37 claims and instead starts thanking Oregonians for all of their help over the years.
