Fayette Maude Daniels passed away Jan. 26, 2008, at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, at the age of 92. She was a longtime resident of Hood River and will be remembered for her active volunteerism in the community.

A time to honor and remember Fayette will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Anderson’s Tribute Center. A reception will follow at Tucker Road Baptist Church then interment at the IOOF Cemetery of The Dalles, Ore.

Fayette was born July 2, 1915, in Portland, Ore., to Joseph and Gertrude (Beach) Henderson. On April 6, 1975, she married Willie R. Daniels at Shaniko and they moved to Hood River in 1977. Willie preceded Fayette in death on April 3, 1986.

Fayette was active in the Hood River County Fair and 4-H programs and volunteered for the Lions Club, Rotary and Kiwanis.

She is survived by a brother; Joseph Henderson, of San Diego, Calif., and special friends and caregivers in the Hood River area including Carol Hoffmann.
