‘The Crucible’ opens at HRVHS

Hood River Valley High School students perform Arthur Miller’s timeless social commentary “The Crucible” beginning this weekend.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Feb. 29, March 1,6,7,8, 14 and 15 in the Bowe Theatre at Hood River Valley High School. Tickets are available at the door. Prices are $8 adult, $5 seniors and students. The March 6 performance will be a benefit for Noah Smith.

Ben Bonham in HR

"Ben Bonham Trio plays blues music at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 29 at the Trillium Cafe, 207 Oak St.

On Saturday, March 1, Bonham will give a solo performance from 8-10 p.m. at Double Mountain Brewery, 8 Fourth St.

 

Connollys play trio of sets

Buck Smith and the Connollys will play western swing at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, in Hooba's Restaurant at Husum Hills Golf Course, 820 State Highway 141. There is no charge to attend.

On Friday, March 7, Bob and Lorri Connolly perform at 6 p.m. in The Mint at Erin Glen Vineyards, 710 E. Second Street, in The Dalles. The duo's musical selection includes bluegrass, folk, country and roots rock. No entrance fee is required.

Buck Smith and Connolly are the featured musicians at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, in the Bingen Eagles Lodge, downtown along State Route 14. No admission is charged to those attending the performance.

Fraser & Haas in concert

Musicians Aladair Fraser and Natalie Hass come to Hood River, their visit includes two workshops and a concert in on March 19. Fraser will have a fiddle workshop and Hass a cello workshop from 2:30 - 4:30 pm The concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets sold at Oak Street Hotel, 610 Oak Street. The workshops are at Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade.
