A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 1 in Burns, Ore., for H. Marie Church, 59, who died in Portland, Ore., Nov. 19, 2007, from a brain aneurysm. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Margaret, in March 2007, just eight months ago.

A memorial will also be held at Wilhelm Funeral Home on Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

Marie was born May 16, 1948, in Burns, Ore. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Aaron, of Portland, Ore.; brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Melissa, of Vancouver, Wash; brother, Andy, of Portland, Ore.; brother and sister-in-law Ron and Patty, of Portland, Ore.; nieces and nephews Allen, Amy, Ken, Jamie, Lynnette and Brad; uncle and aunt, Tom and Ima Choate, of Burns, Ore.; and close friend Tony Abbott.

Marie and her daughter, Melissa, and mother, Margaret, lived in Hood River for many years before returning to live in Portland. She became a member of the Elks while living in Hood River.

Marie was known for her lively personality and devotion to her daughter and mother. Her smile, laugh, and hugs will be greatly missed.
