Having lived in Hood River since
1970 and been a previous aerial applicator until 1992, I now manage a
small orchard and currently serve as Ice Fountain’s board chairman.
I am very proud of the Ice
Fountain Water District and the way it has been managed now and in the
previous years. It is a very efficient water district, with low overhead
and an extremely skilled group.
In approximately 18 years of
serving on the board, we’ve been through many trials, of which the most
recent was the flood that damaged our headworks. We were able to
discontinue service to our customers without disruption due to the
forethought and preparedness of the district.
It is my desire to see this type of management and
forethought continue in the years to come.
