Red-white-and-blue colors highlight the location of fireworks stands now
up around Hood River County.
In Oregon, state law requires fireworks be bought only from authorized
retailers and stands.
State and federal parks and forests are off-limits to light fireworks.
Oregon law bans bottle rockets, roman candles and firecrackers. Those fall
under the category of fireworks that fly, explode or travel more than 6
feet on the ground or 12 inches into the air.
The state fire marshal’s office also recommends lighting only one firework
at a time and do not throw fireworks or hold them in your hand. For more
