that blood donations are down in recent weeks.
Upcoming blood drives are
scheduled in the Gorge to help build up the regional blood supply.

Donors are encouraged to make an
appointment. Donors must meet minimum age requirements (16-year-olds in
Oregon need parental consent; in Washington, 16- and 17-year-olds need
parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good
health. They can donate whole blood every eight weeks. |
