The 2007 Families in the Park
concert series celebrates 25 years of bringing family style entertainment
to Jackson Park each Thursday in August. This year the most requested top
five acts from previous seasons are scheduled to perform.
Johnny Limbo & the Lugnuts
kick-off the season on Thursday, Aug. 2. This classic rock and roll band
has become one of the nation’s most popular bands to perfrom hits from the
‘60s. They have shared the stage with performers such as Chuck Berry,
Chubby Checker, The Righteous Brothers, the Mamas and Papas, Three Dog
Night and many more. The Lugnuts emphasize showmanship, creating a never
ending energy on state.

series returns to Hood River’s Jackson Park on Thursday, Aug. 2. The free
concerts start at 6 p.m. with warm-up entertainers, followed by a headline
music show at 7 p.m. The popular series features fund-raising activities
by local organizations and is sponsored by Embarq and dozens of area
businesses.

Aug. 9:
The Beatniks (60s, 70s, 80s) w/Andreas Ehrlich. Sponsored by US Bank and
Gorge Networks. Legion Auxiliary barbecue.
Aug. 16:
Linda Hornbuckle Band (blues, soul) w/children’s musical performance.
Sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank and Heart of Hospice Night. Soroptimist Club
fajita feed.
Aug. 23:
Satin Love Orchestra (70s, 80s disco) w/Sweet Adelines. Sponsored by
Pacific NW Federal Credit Union and Windermere Real Estate. Hood River
Fire Dept. barbecue.
Aug. 30: Five Guys
Named Moe (pop/rock) w/Gorge Gymnastics program. Sponsored by Providence
Hood River Memorial Hospital and A Kidz Dental Zone. American Red Cross
barbeque.
