Coyote rescue

July 30, 2007

When a coyote caught its leg in a fence at a home on Belmont Drive, two men came to the rescue. Hood River County Sheriff Deputy Pete Hughes held a broom to prevent the scared animal from biting as Jim Greenleaf used wire cutters to free the coyote. Landscapers hired by Jim and Natalie Greenleaf discovered the coyote in a wooded section of their property. A moment after the photo at right was taken, the coyote was long gone.
