Sadafumi Uchiyama picks through rocks
recently at Moffett Springs Decorative Stone in North Bonneville, Wash.
He was selecting materials for the Japanese Heritage
Garden in Hood River, which is a part of the larger Learning Garden on the
OSU Extension Center grounds.
Site preparation began last month and will continue
through March, until the rock is installed and additional hardscape will
be constructed.
Planting is scheduled to begin later in the spring.
