Hood River fire truck parade set for Dec. 8-10


The parades begin at 6 p.m. all three nights and conclude at about 9 p.m.

If you want to admire the trucks and their lights up close, the vehicles will be on stationary display from 6 to 6:15 p.m. before rolling out from, Odell Dec. 8, from Parkdale Dec. 9 and from West Side’s Rockford station Dec. 10. (See schedule for a stationary display at Westside School on Dec. 10.)

Dec. 8 — Odell/Pine Grove

Odell Fire Station, up Mud Alley to Odell Highway to Summit at Weber’s to Wy’east; turn north to Chamberlin, to Summit, then east to Bartlett Loop, to Wy’east south, to Davis Drive to AGA Road, to AGA Mobile Home Park; make loop in park, AGA road north to Odell Highway to Chevron Drive, Midway to Gateway to Lindgren south on Davis Road to Sunday Road, to Thomsen Road-Neal Creek intersection

Pine Grove takes the lead at Thomsen to Fir Mountain to Wells Drive to Van Horn Drive to Highway 35 to Glass Drive to Eastside Road to Highline Drive to Old Columbia River Highway to China Gorge Restaurant.

Dec. 9 — Parkdale/Dee

Parkdale Fire Station to Fifth Street to Baseline to Clear Creek to Culbertson to Baseline to Toll Bridge to Highway 35; north end Miller to South Miller to Highway 35 to Woodworth to Old Parkdale Road to Trout Creek Ridge Road to Dee Highway to Dee Fire Station to Punch Bowl to Green Road to Collins Road to Alder Road.

Dec. 10 — West Side/Hood River

West Side Fire Department Rockford Station, to Barrett Drive to Methodist to Belmont past Westside School.

There will be a stationary display for 10-15 minutes at the school.

Then: down Belmont to Avalon to Adams Loop to Park Place to Belmont to Henderson to Avalon, and east to Belmont.

Hood River takes the lead down Belmont to 13th, Down Manor, Brookside Manor, to Eliot, Eighth, Pacific, to 12th Street, to May, to Fourth Street, to Serpentine, to State, to Sherman, to 22nd, to Montello, to May Street, to Rand Road, to Cascade, to Oak, and end at Tum-A-Lum Lumber Co.
