Twenty mailboxes in west Hood
River were looted Thursday night. Police are worried about
potential identity theft.
“People in that area really
need to be watching their accounts for any illegal activity,”
said Police Lt. David Thompson. The area hit by mail thieves
includes western Sherman Avenue, Eugene and Montello streets and
St. Charles Place and Fairview Drive.
Thompson said an unauthorized
credit card case emerged this week that might be tied to a mail
theft. Suspicious activity may be reported to 387-5253. |
