The biggest foundations
in the state are coming to Hood River again for the third annual
“Meet the Funders Day.” Now is your chance to talk with program
officers from the Ford Family Foundation, Oregon Community
Foundation, Murdock Charitable Trust and the Jeld-Wen
Foundation, as well as local funders.
This full-day session
has four basic components:
• Researching local and state foundations;
• Panel discussion with local funders;
• Panel discussion with state funders;
• The opportunity to sit with state
foundation representatives to get feedback on a specific
proposal or idea.
Bring a two-page sample
proposal for your idea. Whether you are a grant writer,
executive director or staff person, this is a great opportunity
for anyone who needs funding for a project. It is also an
excellent opportunity to introduce yourself and your
organization to the state’s biggest funders. The workshop is
Thursday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $75 per
person. It will be held at the Hood River County Administration
Building library, 601 State St. in Hood River.
For more information contact Paul
Lindberg at (490) 2340 or plindberg@gorge.net. This workshop is
presented by Hat Creek Consulting and the Hood River County
Commission on Children and Families, and all proceeds go to the
Gorge Community Foundation. |
