The HRV girls team and both Horizon
teams opened their season's at home
Wednesday night. HRV held off The
Dalles-Wahtonka 49-44 and the Horizon
boys rolled past Southwest Christian
58-48. The Horizon girls lost in the
final two seconds after a a foul shot
and a last second basket gave Southwest
Christian the win.

The Marshall Minutemen got 27 points
from Mitchell Beckwith and used a 14-0
run that spanned the third and fourth
quarters to take control of the game as
they beat the Hood River Valley boys
basketball team 77-69 in Hood River last
night.

Eagles
continue to soar with win over Reynolds
For the Hood River Valley Eagles, the first minute of their
homecoming game against Reynolds was a disaster. The other 47,
not so much. The Eagles got two touchdown runs from Jesse Miles,
one from Ryan Bales and
a pair of touchdown grabs by Dalton Frazier as they beat
Reynolds 34-12 to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot in the
Mount Hood Conference.
