Its season may have come to an end with a loss to
Lincoln in the state semifinals on Wednesday, but the Hood River
Valley lacrosse team still had plenty to celebrate. Not only did
the team make the first semifinal appearance in its history but
it also had six players named to the Columbia Division
all-conference teams, including two to the first team.
Eli Camero made first team all-conference for his
performance as an attacker after putting on numerous dominating
offensive performances.
Peter Debbaut was named to the first team as a
midfielder after providing the Eagles with a strong offensive
option as well as consistently winning face offs.
Jacob Bohince was named to the second team after
he teamed with Camero to form one of the most effective one-two
punches in the league.
Dustyn Lyons also received second team honors
after a breakout year in which he recorded his first career
shutout.
Mark Troxel was named to the second team as a
long stick middie who consistently helped the Eagles maintain
ball control.
Justin Tolentino rounded out the second team
honors for his efforts on defense.
