“The Night Before Christmas,” a Mid-Columbia Community Choir concert, 7 p.m. at Riverside Community Church, Fourth and State streets in Hood River. This compelling retelling of the events leading up to Christ’s coming combines a carefully crafted choir arrangement and simple narration for an inspiring Christmas musical presentation of hope. (Another performance will be held Dec. 2 in White Salmon.)
