Columbia Gorge Discovery Center's Holiday Open House, 5:30-9 p.m. This festive evening features free admission to all exhibits, live music in the River Gallery from 5-8 p.m., free hot cider and cookies for the kids, and Santa. A buffet-style dinner featuring prime rib and lemon dill salmon with all the trimmings will be served in the Basalt Rock Cafe. Deserts and non-alcoholic beverages are included for $17.95 (adults), $7.95 (ages 6-14); children 5 and under are free. Local wine and microbrews available for purchase.
