Hood River Hobbies will be starting the New Year with a blast during its second-annual New Year's Eve Rocket Launch. This launch is part of the Dec. 29 Community Education Rocket Building Class, but all are welcome to watch or launch their own rockets. Location will be determined by weather. Meet or check in at Hood River Hobbies at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31. Free
