Talk: "Deep Resilience, Ecological Refuge and Effective Resistance"

Speaker Peter Lumsdaine, 7 p.m. at Riverside Church, Ruth Wells Room, presented by Columbia River Fellowship for Peace. Lumsdaine, education coordinator of the Alliance to Resist Robotic Warfare and Society, former Department of Energy researcher, Plowshares prisoner and Najaf Emergency Peace Team coordinator in occupied Iraq, will speak on “Deep Resilience, Ecological Refuge and Effective Resistance” to challenge the CIA’s role in escalating Middle East violence, at the edge of the looming peak-oil World War against Iran and the emerging technological matrix of the robotic/biotech Age. This presentation follows a vet-led Armistice Day vigil/open mic at Overlook Park, Second and State streets, 4:30-6 p.m. Hot soup and beverages will be served at the church.
