“David Douglas in the Gorge,” presented by Spokane-based author Jack Nisbet, who studies the human and natural history of the Northwest. He will speak on Scottish naturalist David Douglas, who made numerous trips through the Columbia Gorge collecting flora and fauna for the London Horticultural Society. The lecture, part of the Sense of Place series, will take place at Springhouse Cellar Winery, 13 Railroad St. in Hood River. Doors open at 6 p.m.; lecture begins at 6:30.
