Author talk: Katherine Schlick Noe

Katherine Schlick Noe, “Writing from Real Life: The Story Behind ‘Something to Hold,’” 7-8:30 p.m. at the Hood River Library. Noe's book was one of this year’s selections for the Hood River County Reads project. "Something to Hold" is based on Noe's own childhood experiences. It centers on the young woman Kitty as she grows up as one of the only white girls on the Warm Springs Reservation in Oregon. Noe is professor of education and director of literacy in the College of Education at Seattle University.
