Worm Composting: From Tea Bags to T-Shirts
Composting is the process of converting waste into useful nutrients for the soil. There’s more than one way to compost, but the easiest is to let the worms do it. Worms are happy under your kitchen sink or on the back porch, where they will silently process anything organic, from tea bags to T-shirts.
A working worm bin will be presented and harvested, with discussion of how, what, where and what if. FAQ for beginners but also resources for current composters.
Instructor Callie Jordan is a certified vermicomposter, with 15-plus years of worm experience, whose gardening specialty is making dirt.
