Earth Week Events

April 22 — Earth Week kicks off at 10 a.m. in Rheingarten Park with the Processions of the Species, Science Fair, and March for Science. This family-friendly event aims to educate and allow people to voice their respect for science. Other Earth Day events include Earth Day at the Discovery Center in The Dalles from 9 am to 3 pm; and Columbia Riverkeeper’s Hood River Beach clean-up at 10 am to noon.

April 23 — Earth Day Service at Mid-Columbia Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (Hood River) at 10 a.m.; Carina Miller speaks at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside Community Church in Hood River. Part of Earth Week celebration.

April 24 — Fossil-Free Divestment, 7-8:30 p.m. at Riverside Community Church. Learn how to divest savings from fossil fuel industry. Part of Earth Week celebration. 

April 25 — Our Role in Global Migrations, 7-8:30 p.m. at Riverside Community Church. with Tina Castañares. Part of Earth Week celebration.

April 26 — The Joy of Clean Energy, 6:45-8 p.m. at the Hood River Middle School Music and Science Building. Learn about clean energy. Part of Earth Week celebration.

April 27 — Confronting the Fossil Fuel Agenda, 7-8:30 p.m. at Riverside Community Church. Part of Earth Week celebration.

April 28 — Wine and the Art of Protest Sign Painting, 5-7:30 p.m. at Ani Che Cellars. Part of Earth Week celebration.

April 29 — Peoples Climate & Justice March, 11 a.m. at the Hood River Waterfront Park Amphitheater. Yoga, speakers and a march. Part of Earth Week celebration.
