Our invigorated spirit of sharing needs to be manifest close to home
The lead editorial ("Finding Focus", Sept. 26) refers to an "East Coast terrorist tragedy."
The events of Sept. 11, 2001 in New York and Washington, D.C. were far more than an East Coast terrorist tragedy.
In 1943 we were losing World War II. Two years later we accepted an unconditional surrender. The victory resulted from unified and sustained efforts on the part of our citizens and our allied forces.
Please expand your description and rerun it periodically as necessary for the next few years until there is either victory of defeat.
