An American Tragedy

The horror in New York and other places throughout the land is nearly impossible to fathom. It seems far away, but it is close. The acts of extreme violence are sending waves of fear throughout our country, and the full effect of this tragedy will not be known for a long time.

Father Ronald Maag of St. Mary's Catholic Church had this advice:

"One of our ways is to pray and you sometimes have to pray for an answer.

"You have to take some time out for yourself, stop and say 'we're all mortal beings and tragedy strikes' and unfortunately today it has struck again on a national level. We're on a journey, but sometimes no obvious answers to this."
