Full week of music at the Saloon

It’s time to wear off those pounds of turkey from Thanksgiving and get your body to the River City Saloon for a week of body-shaking music.

Tonight, Hood River favorite Tony Furtado makes the trip from his new home in Portland for a show following his recently released American Gypsies CD.

On Thursday, the Global Funk Council makes a return with its brand of hard-hitting funk laced with soul and R&B.

For the weekend, the saloon has something for everyone’s dancing tastes. On Friday, the Reverand Evan Hadley plays. Following on Saturday will be the grooves of D.J. Berlin and returning for a big show on Sunday are Boulder, Colo., greats The Motet. All shows begin at 9:30 p.m.
