The recent decision by the County to pass a "big box" rule should be put to a vote of the citizens of Hood River County. A decision of this magnitude should not be left to the Commission alone. In our representative form of government those elected theoretically represent those that elected them. In this case, however it is not clear that the Commission represents more than a few very vocal supporters of this rule. If you do not want this new rule to take effect contact the Commissioner who represents you and demand an election on this issue. It is too important to be decided by just a few people. Demand that your voice be directly heard in this matter.
