‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ train returns to Hood River in June

Aspiring engineers and their grownups will have an opportunity to take a ride with Thomas the Tank Engine when “Day Out With Thomas” pulls into Mt. Hood Railroad in Hood River June 20 through the 29.

“Day Out With Thomas” offers fans of all ages the opportunity to take a 30-minute train ride with Thomas in the lead. There is a variety of Thomas and Friends’ entertainment for the whole family. Interactive children’s activities include storytelling; temporary tattoos of Island of Sodor friends; an Imagination Station with arts and crafts; live music; clowns; balloon art and more. Other event highlights are Thomas and Friends video viewing and an opportunity to meet and take pictures with Thomas the Tank Engine’s firm but kindly boss, Sir Topham Hatt.

The Thomas rides will depart on the hour, rain or shine, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. This annual event is often a sell out and tickets are date and time specific, so advanced ticket purchase is recommended to ensure a choice of dates and times.
