Dr. Jennifer Strelkauskas has found her niche in practice at All Animal Care Clinic on Tucker Road in Hood River.
Strelkauskas, her husband, Craig, and their two children moved to Hood River from Belle Fourche, S.D., in July 2002.
“When people ask why we moved here, it was primarily for the opportunity that this job presented me,” Strelkauskas said.
“Dr. Jeff Osborn and the clinic have some very advanced diagnostic tools and offer a very high level of medicine when ranked with other general practices where I have worked,” she said. “I have been practicing veterinary medicine for six and a half years and am impressed by both the quality of medicine offered here and with the caliber of clientele that we serve.”
Strelkauskas graduated with a degree in Animal and Dairy science from Auburn University and earned her DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine there in 1996. She has practiced in several states, most recently Wyoming and South Dakota. Her special interests include ultrasound technology and internal medicine.
“I have experience in small animal-only clinics, large animal-only clinics and in mixed practices, so the format that All Animal Care Clinic has suits my experience very nicely,” she said.
“So far it has been a rewarding move for me. I look forward to meeting as many people in the community as I can through work and play,” Strelkauskas said.
“My husband and oldest son and I all ski and we can’t wait for the mountain to open this year,” she said.
Craig is a title officer for AmeriTitle in White Salmon and has also done some work with the Hood River office and is very pleased with the area as well. Their boys are Aidan, 4, and Collin, six months.
“We are excited about their future opportunities. Aidan is already taking advantage of the Gorge Gymnastics program and the swimming pool and I am sure that Collin won’t be far behind,” she said.
