Hood River’s alt.country specialists, All Night Station, perform a house concert at 401 Montello Ave., Hood River, Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $6. Call 387-4011 for more information.
All Night Station is a four-piece band from the Columbia River Gorge area. They describe their style as country music you won’t hear on the radio, music that’s defined more by the landscape than by Nashville hit factories — rock and roll with banjos and mandolins, and old bluegrass tunes with an occasional electric guitar; “the real country music — stuff from the dirt and from the heart.”
Their musical influences span the decades from the old-timey musicians to modern alt-country and rock bands: they cover tunes from Bill Monroe, the Louvin Brothers, to Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, and Uncle Tupelo.
