‘She Loves Me’ auditions set

Auditions for “She Loves Me,” the fall musical at Hood River Valley High School, are coming soon. The musical, with music and lyrics by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, is based on the Jimmy Stewart film “The Shop Around the Corner,” which also inspired the recent hit “You’ve Got Mail.” Bock and Harnick are the authors of “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Director Mark Steighner notes that the musical is a warm, funny, and melodic musical with a wide variety of large and small roles for men and women.

Auditions will be during the evening of May 12 from 7:30-8:30, and after school on May 19, 20, 21 at the high school. The musical is open to all students in Hood River County, including private and home school students. Auditioners should be prepared to sing a prepared song of their choice and there will also be a reading. Questions should be directed to Steighner atmdstg@gorge.net
