Mabel Belle Beck passed away on May 10, 2005, in White Salmon, Wash., at age 85.
She was born on Aug. 10, 1919, in Baker, Ore., the daughter of David W. and Bertha R. Yeager.
On Aug. 12, 1942, Mabel married Stanley Beck in Portland, Ore. She was a childcare provider for many years. Mrs. Beck was always very active in her church and community. She sang for her church, weddings, and even the Billy Graham Crusade at one time. Mabel loved sewing and would sew anything she could get her hands on. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and was an excellent cook.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley, of Bingen, Wash.; son, Robert Beck of Bingen; daughter, Adena Kelly Grove of Summerville, S.C.; and five grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mabel Beck will be at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon on Wednesday, May 18 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dick Pogue officiating. Mabel will be laid to rest at the White Salmon Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Bingen Baptist Church.
