Christy Paul put together quite a running resume when she was a cross-country standout at Hood River Valley High School. She was the 2001 Mt. Hood Conference runner of the year and the 4A state cross-country champion.

Her time running for Cornell did not turn out too badly either. Paul finished her collegiate cross-country career earlier this month when she finished 11th overall at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships in Bronx, N.Y., on Nov. 18.

The finish helped Cornell to its second straight ECAC team championship and was an 11 spot improvement from her finish last year. She also trimmed 17 seconds off her previous time with a 18:24.7 time, which averaged to 5:55.6 per mile.

Princeton Freshman Reilly Kiernan won the event with a time of 17.56.9, while Paul’s Cornell teammates Robyn Ellerbroock and Katie Roll finished in seventh and eighth place, respectively.
