If you’re looking for fun on New Year’s Eve, try one of these events!

CEBU Bamboo Lounge

Chrissy Faith brings her eclectic rock and jazz sound to CEBU Lounge, Dec. 31 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Faith’s career blossomed in Manhattan more than 20 years go, and since then she has recorded with the likes of Celine Dion, Madonna, Leonard Cohen, Neil Diamond, and others.

Copper Salmon Pub

Kick off New Year’s Eve with the Ed Swick Trio live at the Copper Salmon Pub, 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Dance to classic surf rock, jazz and even a touch of Elvis.

Swick is on guitar/vocals, Malcom Brown on bass/vocals and Tim Ortieb on drums.

Trout Lake Country Inn, Trout Lake, Wash.

Enjoy a five-course meal prepared by guest chef Nathan Fee, to be served from 6-10 p.m.

Starting at 9:30 p.m., dance to live music by the band Diggin’ Deeper from Portland, a combination jazz, blues, rock, Latin and hip hop band. Advanced reservations required; order online:


Dinner and dance cost $30 per person; dinner only, $20; dance only, $15 per person — 21 and over only. Semi-formal, black, white and/or red attire requested.

River City Saloon, Jan. 4

The Dalles Civic Auditorium

Gorge Jazz Band performs swing music from the 1940s and ’50s in the ballroom starting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, in a 21–and-older event.

Dinner (choice of prime rib or salmon) starts at 7 p.m., and the dance is from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Tickets are on sale, $50 each at the Civic from 4 to 6 p.m. For details, call (541) 298-8533.
