The busy intersection of Front and State Streets in Hood River is now a three-way stop. All cars must stop, whether traveling west, east, or south. (The old right-turn-optional stop is now illegal.) Oregon Department of Transportation, which has jurisdiction, installed new signs on Wednesday along with other traffic change alerts designed to inform motorists of the change. On Thursday, ODOT also changed the traffic pattern at 12th and May: cars can only turn or proceed on green lights, traveling any direction.
