Hood River County Centennial planning sessions are planned for Oct. 30 through Nov. 3 at the Hood River County Historical Museum.
Advance planning has begun to celebrate the centennial anniversary of Hood River County.
Input is desired from the entire community on what they feel they would like to see happen or be planned for this milestone event.
The one-hour sessions are Oct. 30, 6:30 p.m.; Oct. 31, 7:30 a.m.; Nov. 1, 6:30 p.m. and Nov. 2-3, noon.
The committee has been meeting and working on preliminary ideas and now wants the community’s help in determining direction and scope of the celebration.
Committee members include: Sandy Lain, Hood River County Administration; Connie Nice, Hood River County Historical Museum coordinator; Carol Faull, Hood River County Historical Museum board chair; Gean Rains, Hood River County Historical Museum board member; and Sandy Blum, Hood River County Historical Museum board member.
Input is needed from all aspects of our community: service clubs, churches, businesses, nonprofits, educators and community members at large.
Sessions are to be held at the Hood River County Historical Museum The agenda for each session will be the same.
The purpose of each session is to brainstorm ideas to formulate future direction for the committee and to gain a list of community members interested in helping on this project.
