While the HRVHS girls team has not made it to conference play yet, if their non-conference game are any indication, the Mt. Hood Conference should be bracing for impact.

The Eagles are returning home after a two-game road swing that kept them undefeated on the season.

The girls beat Forest Grove 3-2 on Tuesday behind goals by Julie Hazlett, Justine Bryant and Kayla Lloyd. Bryant also earned assists on the goals by Lloyd and Hazlett.

Forest Grove took an early lead in the first half, but the Eagles came back by tallying 20 shots on goals to six by Forest Grove.

On Thursday they played scoreless soccer with Franklin through the first half until Dani Lichty scored the lone goal of the game to give the Eagles a 1-0 victory.

Goalkeeper Hailey Thomas made several key saves to hold the lead for Hood River.

Megan Clark kept the Franklin goalkeeper busy throughout the match but couldn’t come away with a goal.

The Eagles will close out non-conference play when they take on former Intermountain Conference Hermiston at home on Tuesday.
