Third arrest for Paul Lloyd

November 30, 2011

For a third time since first coming to the attention of local law enforcement on Nov. 3, Paul Lawayne Loyd, 47, a transient now traversing Hood River County by bicycle, has been arrested and lodged at NORCOR for breaking the law.

Loyd was arrested again on charges of probation violation Nov. 23 within a day of his release from NORCOR on previous convictions.

As part of Loyd's sentence issued for the Nov. 12 disorderly conduct conviction Loyd was ordered to have no contact with anyone in Hood River County.

Around noon on Nov. 23, following several complaints to the sheriff's department from Cascade Locks residents, OSP Trooper Brent Ocheskey detained Loyd at the marina park.

HRCSO Deputy Marc Smith arrived on the scene and arrested Loyd for having contact with residents of the county - a violation of Loyd's probation agreement.

Loyd was later lodged at NORCOR on the new charge.

Loyd's Nov. 29 11 a.m. court appearance before Judge Donald Hull resulted in another release, with the stipulation that he leave Hood River County immediately. Loyd's 18-month probation will remain in effect.
