It's been quite a week for Sammy Carlson.
After winning his first X-Games gold medal last weekend, the Hood River resident took second in slopestyle at the first World Freestyle Skiing championships in Park City, Utah Thursday.
"It went well today, I had a lot of fun," said Carlson in USSA release. "I wanted to come out here and put on a good show for everyone, as this is a new thing for FIS. They don't get to see too many slopestyle competitions."
The 22-year old Carlson and the rest of the US slopestyle team are hoping that the discipline is added to the 2014 Olympic schedule.
