‘Dixie’ at Naked Winery

On Saturday, June 25, Naked Winery in Hood River presents Jackbone Dixie, one of the Gorge’s premier live bands. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. “Often referencing their roots with influences such as Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and contemporary country-rock, classic rock and carefully selected bluegrass accents, Jackbone Dixie has a strong stage presence complemented by beautifully written original songs.”

Live at The Vault Lounge

The Vault in The Dalles has live music and DJs spinning the tunes this week. On Friday DJ Glen Hadduck will be inside spinning his hot style of country rock and mashups starting at 9:30 p.m. On Friday and Saturday it’s the summer kickoff party on the patio with globally known DJ Clint Kuper. On Saturday, June 25, it’s the Concrete Cowboys, playing rocking powerful country rock and cover tunes, starting at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday thru Thursday, June 28-30, The Vault has the King of Karaoke in the Gorge – DJ B.ill. Come check out Bill's fresh style of Kramdown Karaoke. Coming up July 1-2, DJ B.ill will be spinning his progressive style of house and Hip Hop mixes starting at 9:30 p.m.

Lavender Daze Festival

Don't miss the seventh annual Lavender Daze Festival July 16-17 at Hood River Lavender Farms. There’s live music from Ben Bonham & the Hapa Hillbillies, Kate Power & Steve Einhorn, Moe Dixon, Ali Marcus and Richard Tillinghast & Onehum. There will be over 25 arts/craft vendors, Char Burger Country BBQ, authentic handmade fajitas, local wine from Cathedral Ridge, lavender wand and wreath classes (registration required), over 70 varieties of certified organic lavender available for u-pick, kid activities by Teacher Janet, face and body painting, massage therapists, alpacas and much more.

Want to head out to a local music festival for the Fourth of July weekend? Look no further than Friend, Ore., on Saturday, July 2. Local festival promoter Ben Ballinger has scheduled 14 bands rocking around the clock at a 100 year-old schoolhouse in the middle of nowhere — the Friend Schoolhouse.
