Trucks loaded with mountain bikes are a common sight around town this time of year, but this weekend Hood River will be the Sturgis of Oregon as the annual Super-D series shreds the hills of Post Canyon. Three days of activities kicked off Friday evening with an indoor exhibition on Discover Bicycles new top-floor pumptrack. Saturday is a registration and practice day for racers and the public is invited to an all-day affair outside Double Mountain Brewery which will include an urban dual slalom race. Sunday it’s down to business for racers, who will fly down the 3,000 vertical feet, 7 mile course as fast as humanly possible.
