SHERIFF LOG for April 21, 2012 edition

All calls were responded to within the County of Hood River April 9-15.

n Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

April 9 — Highway 35, 14000 block — Male reported being intentionally pushed from behind while snowboarding. He reported receiving a broken wrist and a gash that required stitches.

April 9 — Ninth Court — Officer contacted female regarding possible restraining order violation.

April 9 — Bartlett Drive — An 18-year-old male placed a 12-year-old in a headlock and rammed his head into a telephone pole. The 18-year-old was cited for harassment.

April 10 — Wy’east Road, 3000 block — Officer contacted a parent regarding a threatening message found on a computer.

April 13 — NE Forest Lane, Cascade Locks — Officer took report of harassment from a male.

April 14 — N.E. Clark Street, Cascade Locks — Officer took report of assault IV domestic between two brothers.

April 14 — Highway 35 — Officer took report from a female who had received a threatening voice mail from an unknown caller.

n Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

None reported

n Disorderly conduct, mischief, trespass and vandalism:

April 15 — Country Club Road, 1500 block — Male arrested for disorderly conduct II and lodged at NORCOR. BAC registered .22 percent.

n Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

April 14 — Miller Road at Highway 35 — Male arrested for DUII (alcohol) and cited speeding with written warnings for failure to maintain lane and unsignaled turn following a traffic stop and lodged at NORCOR. BAC registered .25 percent.

n Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

None reported

n Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

April 13 — Barrett Road near Indian Creek Road — Male arrested for traffic crimes of DUII (drug), reckless driving assault IV, no operator’s license and fail to yield entering roadway following a two-vehicle crash investigation and lodged at NORCOR. The other driver was transported to Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital via ambulance and later released.

April 14 — Eastside Drive, 1900 block – Juvenile male arrested for driving uninsured after his parents signed a vehicle he took as stolen.

n Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

April 13 — N.E. Forest Lane, 400 block, Cascade Locks — Officer assisted probation officer in arresting a male for violating probation conditions.

April 13 — Portland Drive, 4300 block — Female arrested on warrant issued out of Municipal Court in Hood River.

n Theft or burglary:

April 9 — Cameo Drive, 2900 block — Male reported he had been assaulted by at least two people and his vehicle stolen. Vehicle was recovered later, where it had been crashed. Nothing in the car was missing.

April 11 — Van Horn Drive, 2800 block — Officer took report of a burglary in the first degree.

April 13 — Odell Highway, 3000 block — Officer took report of about 80 pounds of scrap brass taken from a business.

April 14 — S.W. WaNaPa Street, 500 block, Cascade Locks — Officer took report of theft of services from a restaurant.

April 14 — Wy’east Road, 3800 block — Officer took report of theft of property after a homeowner discovered items missing from the garage.

n Sex offenses:

None reported

n Other:

April 13 — S.W. WaNaPa Street, 0-100 block, Cascade Locks — Male arrested for carrying a concealed weapon following a request from Cascade Locks fire personnel and lodged at NORCOR.

April 14 — Graves Road, 3500 block — Officer took report of lost cellphone.

April 14 — Cooper Spur — Two subjects lost their way while at Cloud Cap and were located and returned to the trailhead.
