Police Log for April 28, 2012 edition

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River April 17-24.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

April 19 — 27th Street — Officer took information regarding comments made on Facebook that might have violated a temporary stalking order.

April 24 — Fourth Street at Oak Street — Two Hood River residents engaged in a physical altercation. One was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct II and lodged at NORCOR, and the other was cited for disorderly conduct II and released.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

April 19 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Two males arrested for possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop. Both were lodged at NORCOR.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

None reported

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

April 21 — Cascade Avenue at 20th Street — Hood River resident arrested for driving under the influence of an intoxicant, cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and fail to maintain lane.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

None reported

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

April 20 — W. Cascade Avenue, 2200 bock — A female reported that her car had been struck and damaged at a local business. The offending vehicle left the scene.

April 21 — Cascade Avenue, 1900 block — Hood River resident was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle and was transported to the emergency room for treatment of injuries.

April 22 — 20th Street at Cascade Avenue — Officer took report of non-injury vehicle crash. Neither driver was cited.

April 23 — Cascade Avenue, 2200 block — Officer responded to a report of a stolen car in the parking lot of a local business. Wasco County and Oregon State Police located and stopped the vehicle on I-84 at milepost 88 and arrested two suspects.

April 23 — W. Cascade Avenue, 2200 block — A vehicle stolen from Beaverton the day before was recovered in the parking lot of a local business.

April 24 — Oak and Second Street — Officer took report of a theft of three musical symbols, valued at approximately $1,000, from the back of a vehicle.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

April 17 — 18th Street at May Street — A Hood River resident was arrested for probation violation and lodged at NORCOR.

April 22 — Hull Street, 1000 block — Male arrested for probation violation and lodged at NORCOR.

Theft, burglary or robbery:April 19 — May Street, 1600 block — Juvenile student cited for theft at a local middle school and released to his mother.

April 20 — 20th Street at Cascade Avenue — Officer took report of the theft of numerous video games stolen from the electronics section of a local business. The subject was seen climbing the fence in the garden section in an attempt to avoid security sensors.

Sex offenses:

None reported

Other:

April 19 — Officer retrieved a found bicycle.
