Sheriff Log for Dec. 12, 2012

All calls were responded to within the County of Hood River Dec. 2-9.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

Dec. 5 — Wy’east Road at Mijos Drive — Male was cited for menacing. A firearm was seized as evidence.

Dec. 6 — Shahala Drive, 0-100 block — Female was cited and released for harassment.

Dec. 6 — Indian Creek Drive, 1200 block — Two students were cited for assault IV.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Dec. 3 — E. Marina Drive, 900 block — Male was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and lodged at NORCOR.

Dec. 7 — Indian Creek Drive, 1200 block — Male juvenile was cited and released for possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, trespass and vandalism:

None reported

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

None reported

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Dec. 2 — Odell Highway, 3300 block — Deputy responded to a single-car accident after driver struck a power pole.

Dec. 3 — Eastside Road, 500 block — Adult reported an unlawful motor vehicle entry.

Dec. 8 — Tucker Road, 1100 block — Male was cited for hit-and-run property damage following a damaged vehicle report from Your Party Rental Center.

Dec. 8 — Dethman Ridge Road at Gilkerson Road — Deputy responded to a motor vehicle crash.

Dec. 9 — Tucker Road at Portland Drive — Male was cited for no operator’s license and failure to carry proof of insurance. Vehicle was towed.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

Dec. 6 — S.E. Sunset Avenue, 300 block — Male was arrested for probation violation and lodged at NORCOR.

Theft or burglary:

Dec. 2 — Westcliff Drive, 4100 block — Restaurant reported a theft by an employee. Suspect left the county after deputy attempted contact.

Dec. 3 — Wasco Avenue, 2700 block — Male was cited and released for theft II following a report from a local retail store. Stolen property was recovered and turned over to Hood River City Police.


Dec. 2 — Forest Lane, 1400 block — Deputies recovered a small bicycle found by a Cascade Locks resident.
