Heights impact meeting scheduled for March 21

The Heights business group and the Hood River County Chamber of Commerce have teamed up this year to host the annual Hood River County Government Impact meeting March 21, from 8-9:30 a.m.

The meeting provides a forum for citizens to hear updates on programs and policies from their local government officials.

The event will be held at the Hood River Valley Adult Center, 2010 Sterling Place. Free and open to the public, the Impact Meeting's agenda will include a welcome by Dave Mason, Columbia Gorge Community College's director of pre-college, humanities and social sciences and human sciences, followed by brief individual presentations by Bob Francis, Hood River city manager; Michael McElwee, executive director, Port of Hood River; Chuck Daughtry, general manager, Port of Cascade Locks; Charles Beck, school district superintendent; and David Meriwether, Hood River County administrator.
