County holds trail work party Saturday

Hood River County is holding a trail work party on Nov. 10 to construct a reroute around a wet section of trail 140 that is in Hood River County’s Northwest Area Trail System.

Trail 140 is a popular single-track trail open to all users other than ATVs. Meet at 10 Speed Coffee, 13th and State. Depart to the work location at 8:30 a.m. The work party will conclude at 12:30 p.m.

Douglas Johnson will head up this work party. He can be reached at 541-490-6563.

Hand tools will be provided but you are welcome to bring tools of your own.

Bring coffee, work clothes, rain gear (just in case), work gloves, safety glasses, your favorite trail work tool, water, and lunch and snacks.

Volunteer hours will be documented and will help satisfy requirements for our current Oregon Parks and Recreation Department ATV Operations and Maintenance grant.
